Vanessa Hudgens is currently promoting tick, tick…BOOM! which starts streaming on Netflix this Friday. Over the past few days, her press wardrobe theme has been black and white. Last night she was at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in an adorable black and white sequined check pattern halter dress with white boots:

 

The look is even better with the jacket, seen here outside the studio. Look at this amazing coat. Look at the cross pockets. SO good. 

 

Today it was a stop at The View. Vanessa showed up in a two-piece featuring a bra top and a matching high-waist skirt, hair half back, the perfect style to go with the look. 

And earlier in the week it was all black, a leather trench over a black dress, also excellent: 

 

The all-black offset the all-white she wore to the AFI premiere of tick, tick last week. It’s very bridal…and it’s Vera Wang so, yeah, that tracks: 

As for tick, tick…BOOM, Vanessa’s one of the main reasons I’m watching it this weekend. And it’s because she was so f-cking good as Rizzo in the live television production of Grease, a performance I think changed a lot of people’s minds about Vanessa, including mine. That was five years ago, if you can believe it. So if you haven’t revisited it in a while, or have never had the pleasure, enjoy. She’s electrifying.
