Where’s his Habs shirt?

Viggo Mortensen is an unabashed Montreal Canadians fan. During TIFF he was seen wearing his Habs gear all around town. Unfortunately for Habs fans, he went with a different shirt yesterday arriving in LA from France. And while Viggo isn’t my brand of quiver - not feeling his pants - I can totally appreciate how he might be yours.

He does look particularly inviting in these photos. The man has a great jaw.

He’s also delightfully appreciative of his fans. At the Appaloosa premiere in Toronto, he hopped a barricade to sign autographs. Blurry photo is attached from a lovely reader – thank you!

Viggo, as mentioned yesterday, is also being whispered about as a potential during awards season for The Road, Cormac McCarthy’s bleak tale of survival and … well, you’ve read the book. The list of nouns could go on and on. For me it was a tough read. Not because it wasn’t compelling, but because it was too… hard. Gave me that feeling in the gut that doesn’t go away even with Oreo cookies. Does that make sense?

Anyway, word is The Road totally delivers, especially young Kodi Smit-McPheen who plays the son of whom Viggo said: "There are things he's done on this movie that I've never seen anybody do before … I can't say I've ever worked with a better partner."
