Shout out to our beloved Toronto girly Maitreyi Ramakrishnan who is having a time! And for you sticklers out there – yes, she’s from Mississauga… which is the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). Maitreyi posted last week that she’d graduated from York University, majoring in Human Rights and Equity Studies. This is exactly the kind of mind we need more of in Hollywood.

Also, she covers the November 2025 issue of Vogue India in a custom Manish Malhotra dress with a front corset looking SO beautiful. One of my favourite parts of the interview is when she’s talking about not following TikTok food trends or social media eating recommendations and instead prefers local spots that don’t make it onto Instagram.

Here’s the part where I screamed:

“Nah, it needs to feel like a bit of a health hazard,” she chuckles.

IYKYK.

My other favourite part is when she says she had to finish a paper on her laptop while in the SUV on the way to the Vanity Fair Oscar party, LOL.

Maitreyi is done with school, for now, but she is still busy. There are at least two projects due out next year, and she’s about to start filming another soon, including Best of the Best, about a college Bollywood dance team. Speaking of Bollywood, that was the vibe of her dress last night at Vogue World Hollywood. This is another Manish Malhotra custom, exquisitely detailed, both Bollywood and Bridgerton, one of my favourite looks of the night.

What else happened today…

Sydney Sweeney cut her hair. It’s sitting just below the chin now… I guess you could say it’s a c-nty bob but on her, there really isn’t much edge. (Go Fug Yourself)

Kayleigh Donaldson writes about Alexander Skarsgård’s recent fashion choices, and trust me, from all of us, it’s all love. (Pajiba)

Just Andrew has grudgingly agreed not to go around calling himself a duke anymore but somehow he’s still in a position to make demands about where he lives and how many places he can live. (Celebitchy)

Robert Pattinson might be releasing new music… and the Twilight fans who still bump his tracks from the movies will have something to add to their playlists. (The Mary Sue)

Rebel Without a Cause was released 70 years ago today and Sarah wrote the most gorgeous piece about its queer-coded messaging. (The Squawk)
