Jonathan Bailey’s slutty little sunglasses

I keep writing out the name of the new Jurassic Park sequel as “Jurassic Rebirth”, but it’s Jurassic World Rebirth but maybe they should drop the metaphorical “the” and just have called it Jurassic Rebirth. It’s cleaner. 

Anyway, the world premiere of Jurassic WORLD Rebirth was in London last night and the cast showed up looking like this:

Yesterday, I compared them to a group of professors running a summer writing program. At the premiere they look like friends who each interpreted the dress code for a wedding differently. Mahershala Ali looks fine as hell, and this custom pink Vivienne Westwood dress on Scarlett Johansson is outstanding, easily the best thing she’s worn in a while. I’m always surprised she doesn’t wear more Westwood, in general, because she likes to lean into her bombshell figure and Westwood makes gowns for bombshells. And her head styling is GREAT. Usually, my issue with ScarJo’s red carpet looks is that her head styling rarely matches her outfit, but top to bottom this is a fantastic Old Hollywood riff. 

Meanwhile, I wish Rupert Friend had either skipped the tie and gone with an open collar—it’s a summer premiere, you can get away with it—or at least worn a contrasting color. That’s entirely too much peach to be looking at outside a grocery store.

But really, we’re here to talk about Jonathan Bailey, who is having a summer of “slutty little glasses” thanks to the wire-rimmed specs his character wears in the film.

It’s also a summer of slutty little…Friends hats? He’s wearing a Friends hat at the premiere. Full on 90s nostalgia! Jonathan Bailey seems like a lot of fun. To wit, what is he saying to ScarJo? Are they talking about his slutty little sunglasses?

Honestly, I don’t even care who he’s talking TO, I want to know what, or who, he’s talking ABOUT. I bet Jonathan Bailey is a fun gossip.
