JLo’s Office Wardrobe

Jennifer Lopez has been in New York the last few weeks working on a new movie – Office Romance, co-starring Brett Goldstein who also cowrote the script. During her downtime, she’s been seeing as many shows as she can on Broadway. Most recently she and Emme went to Buena Vista Social Club and were photographed backstage with the cast.

So far production on Office Romance appears to be taking place in New Jersey. This is where JLo was papped on Friday, outside a restaurant called Hunan Taste. There’s a shot of her taken from the front in the gallery below but I’d like to highlight this shot of her from behind – specifically the hairstyle and the earrings. 

 

Um, what is this styling? That’s an awful updo and the earrings are… part of the costume, right? And costume works with character. So who is she playing? 

According to the logline: 

“Jackie (JLo), President and CEO of Air Cruz, runs a tight ship in her business, including a rigid anti-fraternization policy for all her employees. When a new sexy lawyer (Goldstein) begins working for her, that policy becomes very tested.”

OK, so Jackie is “rigid” about office relationships, a stickler for the rules, presumably. Now the hair and earrings make more sense for how the character’s style choices express who she is. 

Now check out these new shots of JLo on set today. 

This is closer to who JLo is IRL. The hair has come down, the jewellery is more flashy, the fit is way cuter. My assumption then is that this scene takes places when the office romance has started sparking, big flirt energy, the CEO is warming up to the lawyer. Because this is the not the same girl as the one at the restaurant. This is also not the same girl from the one we were talking about a year ago. 

Last year JLo was about to cancel her tour amid the mess of her marriage falling apart. This year JLo’s heading back out on the road, as she just announced this morning that she’s playing select dates in Europe this summer. She’s calling it Up All Night Live 2025. Up is the right word – because no one can keep this bitch down.
