The Biebers can’t convince them

Last Friday was Valentine’s Day. Both Justin and Hailey Bieber posted on Instagram. JB’s post was on the feed, a carousel of photos of the two of them making faces in a booth with the caption “HAPPY VALENTINES DAY FROM THE BIEBERS”. 

Note one of the first comments on that post. “No offence but this looks forced”… 

The Biebers’ 2025 so far has been Aspen, together, then New York for a couple of weeks, together, and now they’re back in LA as Hailey this week was promoting the Rhode pop-up. JB posted on stories about Rhode a couple of days ago. And last night they were out, together, for a three-hour dinner with friends. Those photos are attached.

And still. 

The headlines persist. The UK tabloids in particular are all “the Biebers’ night out amid split speculation” … but when will the speculation end? Like what would it take for it to end? Because before, if for example there were breakup rumours about a celebrity couple, and they were seen together, that would pretty much shut it down.

Now, when there are breakup rumours, and the couple consistently spends time together, it’s not enough. People remain convinced. I saw a story at the UK Sun, for example, where they were like, Justin was at Hailey’s pop-up but then he also went out on his own with his friends… 

Which, like, at this point with the way the internet works, the way bad gossip appears to be prevailing, people would have to sew their genitalia together and never, ever do things on their own, not even for a few minutes, and even then there’d still be doubters.

Can we talk instead about Hailey’s outfit? Specifically her feet? The sheer tights, but then zoom in on the toes. Do the tights stop at the toes? Maybe it’s the way the light is hitting, but I feel like this should be a bigger story than the endless energy on the split that is clearly not a split.
