The biggest story in movies so far today features Michael B Jordan once again starring in a Ryan Coogler production. Anticipation has been high ever since it was announced that these two would be working together again, especially since plot details and the title of the film were kept under wraps. 

 

Late yesterday it was confirmed that the movie is called Sinners and yesterday MBJ shared the poster on Instagram, leading to speculation that he would be playing twins. 

 

 

Two Michael B Jordans? Nobody is complaining about the double MBJ. But I stopped cheering when I read his caption: “Dance with the devil… and he’ll follow you home”. Um, really? Does it have to be a scary movie?! 

The trailer just dropped this morning. And, yes, it is indeed a horror. WHYYYYYYYY? 

 

Why does the gift of TWO Michael B Jordans have to turn into a f-cking nightmare?! 

 

 

 

Terrifying, right? But also… even though I don’t f-ck with horror movies… it looks very, very good. In addition to the two MBJs, there’s also Delroy Lindo, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, and more. This is Ryan Coogler’s first original script since Fruitvale Station and by now I’m sure we all know what an outstanding filmmaker he is and his track record of excellence when he’s working with his muse, Michael B Jordan. They are Scorsese and De Niro for a new generation, people are very excited about this, the industry is very excited about this. The movie comes out in March. So I’ll just make it about me again…

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SCARY?!

Because I don’t think I can watch it. I’m already a mess from the trailer, there is no way I’ll be able to sit through an entire two hours, even with MBJ in a white tank with his crazy cut arms trying to lure me. NO. But, once again, I appreciate the range. Of both of these artists, Ryan and Michael. Their variation of their output is just so impressive.
