Just one more episode of The Pitt’s sophomore season to go. Next week is the finale. We are deep in the trenches now, and this year the big catastrophe at PTMC is just stress. Classic toxic workplace stress. In The Squawk chat, Betts put it really well, that the first season was about the power and capability of healthcare workers, and this season is about the toll giving that care takes on healthcare workers. I think we’re all about ready to boot Robby into the sun, but we still have one more critical hour to go.

But first, a Noah Wyle break. Wyle received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. I’m sort of surprised he didn’t already have one? ER was the biggest show on TV in the mid-Nineties, and Wyle and George Clooney were the big breakouts right out of the gate. Maybe he was too young back then. And he was just an actor, with The Pitt, he’s an actor, writer, producer, director, and co-creator. Geez, Noah, save some work somebody else! Are you learning nothing about overwork and mental/emotional health?!

Strangely, though, Wyle’s ceremony didn’t bring out anyone from The Pitt, except for network execs Channing Dungey—a rare Black woman of power in Hollywood—and Casey Bloys. Usually, you see co-stars at these things, because these ceremonies typically coincide with professional accomplishments, and The Pitt is now the biggest accomplishment of Noah Wyle’s career.

Although maybe it speaks to Wyle’s reputation as Hollywood’s goodest boy that his Walk of Fame ceremony was peopled first and foremost by his family and his longtime friends, Steven Weber and Jonathan Frakes (Noah Wyle Is A Nerd: confirmed). Also, Derek Hough was there. As the emcee? Maybe? Strange.

You can see Noah Wyle’s Walk of Fame speech here. Still skirting around “Tom Hiddleston Golden Globes acceptance speech” territory.
