Dear Gossips,
Gigi Hadid turned 30 years old last week, her birthday party was on Saturday in New York. I remember when she hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards here in Toronto back in 2016, I walked by her in the hall one day, she was fresh-faced and SO tall, one of those people (at least to me) that is taller in person than she seems in photographs, and it’s usually the other way around.
From my recollection going by the feedback in our building, she was sweet that week, no drama, and the only gossip that I retained from that weekend is that Drake allegedly kept looking for her, which tracks. Gigi would have been 21 at the time, but to me she looked younger because when I was in her vicinity she had no makeup on. That’s probably why, in my mind, she’s still a young adult, so when I saw the headline “Gigi’s 30th birthday” it was like, what?! How did that happen?!
Anyway, Gigi was at the party with Bradley Cooper, arriving hand in hand, and according to PEOPLE they were close all night and kissed whenever they were near each other. Celebrity guests included Anne Hathaway with her husband Adam Shulman, Emily Ratajkowski, Will Arnett (who is one of BCoop’s BFFs), Gigi’s parents, and her sister Bella, plus some other models.
The gossip here, sort of, is that Taylor Swift wasn’t present. It’s the second friend-birthday party she missed as she wasn’t at Danielle Haim’s party back in February, even though so many other members of her friend circle were present. This weekend Travis Kelce was in Las Vegas with Jason, and they were hanging out with Justin Timberlake, no sign of Taylor. She’s been underground for months now. And even though her friendship with Blake Lively is the one that’s most under scrutiny, it seems as though Taylor’s disappearance is a general blanket and not a specific one.
Mystery is good. Mystery leads to missing. And greater impact for when she decides to make a comeback.
Yours in gossip,
Lainey
