Céline Dion: Le Retour de la Reine
La Presse had the story first – that four years after she went public that she has Stiff Person Syndrome, Céline Dion is returning to the concert stage! Back in 2024, during the Paris Olympics, Céline of course was part of the opening ceremony, glistening atop the Eiffel Tower. It was a one-off…but it was promising, a promise that she still dreamed of singing, of performing for her fans. And it look like this will finally be reality this year.
After the report in La Presse that Céline would be making a comeback, banners with her song titles started showing up all over Paris.

Word is she’ll be doing two shows a week at Paris La Défense Arena in September and October, so basically a residency… which is interesting because she lives in Las Vegas, she could probably totally do her shows there, but obviously Paris has always held a special place in her heart and she was supposed to perform there before her diagnosis. Plus the venue is bigger in Paris to accommodate more people per show. Also, um, I’m not saying that this was part of her consideration but travelling to the United States might not be all that appealing to her fans around the world right now...
Around the same time that all this news was circulating yesterday, Céline posted on Instagram:
“Je sais pas comment te dire…”
Mais elle nous a dit, c’est évident. And it’s SO exciting, primarily because this is what Céline wants, and if it’s actually happening, it means she’s well enough to do it. This is the most important thing – that she has found a way to manage the disease and experience a good quality of life. The bonus is that Céline will be in Paris… in the fall but, like, it’s also possible she might go earlier, to get settled, and get styled.
Law Roach has worked with Céline for her public appearances after the diagnosis: the appearance at the Grammys, the Olympics, and also Vogue shortly after. Will Law be styling Céline for the residency? Will they make their return, together, to Paris Fashion Week in the summer? We’re already getting Céline in concert, and to be clear, that is enough. I’m not here to ask for too much. And I swear, it’s not just about me, it’s about her. The Queen of All Feelings loves clothes, she looooooved PFW, she looooooved the spectacle – and what we want for our Queen is for her to get back to all that she enjoyed doing before she got sick. If that’s what makes her happy.
