Will Nicole Kidman run wild in the year of the Fire Horse?

It was last fall when news broke that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban had broken up. According to most of the reporting, Keith was the one who wanted out, Nicole had been trying to work on their relationship, and she was also the one spending the most time with their daughters, Sunday and Faith. Since their split was confirmed, Nicole has been seen often with her girls… and Keith, not so much. The divorce was finalised at the beginning of January. It was clean, unmessy, with no money issues, and the parenting plan is what was reported months ago: Sunday and Faith will stay at Nicole’s 306 days of the year and will see their father every other weekend.

As we covered back when it was happening, the timing of their breakup going public could not have been worse for Keith from a PR perspective. That week, their eldest daughter was on the runway at Dior and Nicole returned to Chanel as house ambassador, with both their daughters accompanying her to Matthieu Blazy’s first collection for the brand. She looked fresh and unbothered… and that is the energy is she carrying into 2026.

Nicole was at the Chanel haute couture presentation yesterday looking like she was in a great mood. The hair is tousled and sexy, she looked great in that black feathered dress, she kept the shades on for maximum c*nt-serving – and if you’re still not convinced, Jason Bolden, her stylist, is here to bring it home.

The only takeaway here is that we’re seeing a single woman in her 50s, free from the f-ckassness of a man addicted to a straight iron, ready for a new year. The Year of the Fire Horse, and it’s a wild one. Nicole was born under the sign of the Goat, traditionally pretty compatible with the Horse. A Fire Horse, though, well she is her name – blazing, intense, and possibly volatile. What will Nicole Kidman do now that she’s unbridled?

As for the other celebrities at Chanel – A$AP Rocky, also confirmed as house ambassador last year, was there in a leather trench along with Margaret Qualley, Dua Lipa, Penelope Cruz, and Kim Go-eun who was sat with Tilda Swinton.
