Her name is Willow Shields. THR confirms that she’s officially been cast as Prim in The Hunger Games. You like?

I like that she’s pretty much a total unknown. I believe that Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss would need to protect her. I am happy, so happy, that it’s not Chloe Moretz or Abigail Breslin or whoever it was that everyone was speculating about.

Oh but the announcements are coming quickly now. Already 5 locked down this week, 1 in negotiations (Elizabeth Banks), and surely more to come as we are fast approaching the start of principle photography which is supposed to kick off at the end of April. They better. The movie opens in 11 months. When you factor in time for shooting and for post, it’s getting really, really tight. That is if they want to make something worthy of the source.
