Bridgerton now and next

Part two of season four of Bridgerton premieres on Netflix next Thursday 26 February so the cast has pretty much just been on a non-stop press tour for a month.

Last night there was a masquerade ball in Madrid and it was also Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year) so, naturally, the colour was red. A spectacular sparkly red dress that fits her beautifully.

As for Luke Thompson’s look, ordinarily I wouldn’t be into it. On its own I’m not sure he can pull it off. But the suit wasn’t meant to be a solo – obviously chosen to complement Yerin, because of course they are the OTP of S4 so… yes… it works, and it’s adorable.

Speaking of OTP though…

I’ve not read any of the Bridgerton books so I’m coming at this as someone who’s only watched the show, but it seems obvious that season five will be focusing on Francesca who is already married to John but is horny for his sister Michaela. Netflix has yet to officially officially officially confirm that season four will be Francesca’s story but with Hannah Dodd, who plays Francesca, joining Yerin and Luke on the press tour, it’s a logical assumption. Which… great… no complaints about season five possibly centering a queer love story, that’s amazing. I’m just wondering, like, what’s the rush. Wouldn’t it be great if Yerin could have a full moment as the Bridgerton main girl before we set up the next, and for each and every main character to complete their ride, as Hannah should be able to do whenever they get around to releasing season five before Eloise takes over.

In other Yerin news, Gold House is still releasing content from their Lunar New Year party in New York last week that Yerin hosted with Hudson Williams. There was a good question asked on the red carpet: who would be your dream mahjong opponent. Most people correctly answered Michelle Yeoh.
