Speaking of conscious uncoupling and what might be the theme of SJP’s new show, Gwyneth Paltrow is at Cannes Lions this week promoting Goop (apparently she’ll be joining Snapchat soon) and during her interview with the BBC’s HARDTalk, she was asked, once again, about her divorce from Chris Martin and conscious uncoupling:

“It was a difficult time in our lives,” she said. “We didn’t know that the ‘conscious uncoupling’ phrase was going to inspire so much conversation. At the time people said, these people are crazy and it’s true, but over time now I hear people saying thank you for showing there is another way. You can remain a family even though you are not a couple and make it a less traumatic experience for the children,” she added. “It wasn’t my phrase, but I’m very proud of it.”

As much as you hate to admit it, they are the poster couple for conscious uncoupling. If you can’t be the best at marriage, then be the best at divorce. And then show everyone. That’s Gwyneth.

Chris Martin, by the way, was in Cannes too, likely paid to perform at a party last night. Gwyneth was there too. And at one point he shouted her out in the crowd:

"Is there anyone in the room that used to be married to me?"

He ended up pulling a female marketing executive on stage with him, and then, to Gwyneth again:

"At least someone else understands what I put you through."

You know what I learned today? There’s an Instagram account dedicated to Gwyneth + Chris!
