Alan Rickman was at Stanley Tucci’s wedding. And Meryl Streep. And Colin Firth. And Patricia Clarkson. We don’t have to talk about this anymore. He wins.

Tucci married Felicity Blunt a few weeks ago in the US but celebrated the occasion in London this weekend with a ceremony and reception. These are photos from the rehearsal dinner/night before party at Shoreditch House. So...Andy and Nigel from Devil Wears Prara married on the same weekend? How come no one else loves this coincidence more than I do? And how badass is it that Steve Buscemi was the best man?

Also, thanks to a reader called Jennifer, I just learned that Stanley Tucci has a new cookbook (I have since googled and know now that he has more than one; sorry, it’s just never been something I’ve paid attention to -- cooking books) and that it will be released next week. I take this to mean that Stanley Tucci has cooked for Meryl Streep. I mean, he would have to have. Tucci offers his take on “homemade Italian meals” and these are some of recipes according to the publisher’s notes: “decadent Venetian Seafood Salad; rich and gratifying Lasagna Made with Polenta and Gorgonzola Cheese; spicy Spaghetti with Tomato and Tuna; delicate Pork Tenderloin with Fennel and Rosemary; fruity Roast Duck with Fresh Figs; flavorful Baked Whole Fish in an Aromatic Salt Crust; savory Eggplant and Zucchini Casserole with Potatoes; buttery Plum and Polenta Cake; and yes, of course, the legendary Timpano.”

If Tucci’s timpano is good enough for Meryl, it’s good enough for all of us. Now to find one of my cooking friends to make it for me...
