Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt attended the 3rd Annual Reel Stories event to benefit the Motion Picture & Television Fund on Saturday in Hollywood. They’ve been friends for a while. They sing together. They make movies together. She makes cameos for him when he directs movies. This is an interesting relationship. Because, well, Annie is polarising. You know how you feel about Anne Hathaway. Meanwhile, JGL is your cute Boy Wonder. He’s the imaginary boyfriend. He’s the one you want in your pocket. He’s the emoticon you wish you could put at the end of all your text messages. He couldn’t possibly be smug and pretentious.
Oh, but couldn’t he?
Of course not! Because he has dimples!
We’re now exactly 7 months away from seeing Annie onscreen again –and it has been a while – in Christopher Nolan’s TOP SECRET WILL NOT BE SPOILED Interstellar, opening on November 7. Did you know that Nolan wouldn’t even tell Hans Zimmer what the film is about? He asked Zimmer to score the movie but wouldn’t give him any details. Instead, Nolan wrote a page of text for Zimmer to consider:
“(The page) wasn’t about the film. In a peculiar way, what Chris wrote down that day, and what he wanted from me, had more to do with my story than the plot of the movie. He knows how to get under my skin. That’s the game we play.”
I would have failed that test.
