Everyone I know who’s seen American Hustle loved it. And they say that the performances are first class across the board, with some positing that Bradley Cooper was better than he was in Silver Linings Playbook, for which he was nominated for Oscar. The only Hustle cast member individually recognised by the Screen Actors Guild today however was Jennifer Lawrence. The Golden Globe nominations are coming tomorrow. Perhaps he’ll get be called there since the categories are split into drama and musical, although Christian Bale probably has a better chance than he does.
Hustle did receive a SAG nomination for Best Ensemble though so it’s likely Cooper will be at the event as part of the team. Will he bring Suki Waterhouse? US Weekly called it their first public appearance together as a couple the other night when they were together at the NY premiere of Hustle, neither of them minding when a photographer shot them at their table. It’s been almost a year since they first started dating. And since Coop turns 39 in January, it’s time for the tabloids to start speculating about marriage. Which is when Leonardo DiCaprio will step in and tell his boy … NEVER. After all, they don’t stay 20 forever.
