Well there’s a headline.
Charlie Hunnam is featured in the new issue of Men’s Health discussing his training regimen over the course of shooting his last three movies. Basically he had to gain muscle, lose it all, and then regain it back to back to back. So he ate well or didn’t eat, and smoked a lot of cigarettes. He also, however, reveals that he’s quit smoking weed. Which was a major change considering he used to go through an ounce a week. There were stories about him on the set of Sons Of Anarchy all the time, baked constantly on set. That’s over though and now he’s an “avid cook” and is learning how to speak Spanish and wants to earn a black belt in Brazilian jujitsu. Fitness is important to him. That’s where the sex comes in:
"I'm interested in having a high fitness level across the board," he says. "Running, swimming, jumping rope, hiking, jiu-jitsu—I try to do it all. I also try to make love as often as I can. That's an important part of fitness. There's no reason you can't be active at 70. I want to run up mountains at that age."
How do you feel about the expression “make love”? I get squicked by it. Even when he says it. Like, to me, it would be way hotter if he’d been like, “I also try to f-ck as often as I can”. But I get it. Some of you probably think that sound crude, like the f-cking is meaningless. But "make love" is just sooooo....tender?! Ew! Another squicky word, non?
Anyway whatever, Charlie Hunnam burns calories by sex. And the sex, presumably, is with his longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis who comes up a few times during the interview - once when he talks about how he released that statement last year when his fans were attacking her online because fans can be the worst, and again when he talks about shooting The Lost City Of Z and how he ghosted her for 4 months. Remember that? At the time some of you were like, nah, he probably only meant like a couple of weeks. Um. No. FOUR MONTHS. Because method acting can be the worst.
But you don't want to be mad at a guy who looks like this in a henly. GOD.
