Charlize Theron has kept a very low profile for months. You’ll recall, last year she broke up with Sean Penn, supposedly cutting him off abruptly. Then it was confirmed that she’d adopted daughter August. For the last few weeks she’s been in Europe shooting The Coldest City. She plays a spy who’s hunting down double agents. It’s based on a graphic novel but the synopsis so far is giving me shades of Evelyn Salt and Ethan Hunt.
Interestingly Charlize came back in the news yesterday because of Liam Neeson and the Guess Liam’s “Incredibly Famous” Girlfriend game that he started himself. She was one of the first people on the list of internet possibilities based on nothing, mostly because they starred together in A Million Ways To Die In The West and talked about how much they enjoyed working together. OK yeah but in her case, couldn’t that be anyone but Tom Hardy?
In other Charlize news, it’s been reported that she’s negotiating to play the villain in the next installment in the Fast Furious franchise. I love this decision. I love watching her be mean to people. Like in Snow White. Speaking of that, she’s presenting at the Oscars. The Huntsman comes out in April so she, Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt, and Jessica Chastain will start promotion soon.
