Prince Andrew, the British royal family (sweat) stain, has been the Queen’s biggest problem in years – so much so that her handling of the Andrew scandal has led to doubts about her leadership. Which is why there’s been so much talk about Prince Charles and whether or not his ascension will be accelerated. Full Story

The Virginia Roberts Giuffre interview aired last night on BBC Panorama and, even though she repeated the claims she’s been making consistently for years now, being that this was her first broadcast interview in the UK, home of Prince Andrew, she made headlines – as she should. Finally.  According to Virginia, she was sex trafficked to Prince Andrew by his friend, the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, three times. Full Story

As established, Prince Andrew’s friendship with the dead rapist pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, and how he badly handled his interview with BBC Newsnight is the biggest crisis the British royal family has faced in decades. Andrew, for sure, and deservedly, is taking most of the heat, but his ongoing f-ckups have led to increased scrutiny about the monarchy, its stability, its value, and how it’s held accountable. Full Story

Revisiting The Crown: Princess Anne’s Most Unimpressed Faces

Erin Doherty stars in the third season of The Crown as grown-up Princess Anne, and she is MAGNIFICENT. She is also, unfortunately, criminally underused. (They skipped the kidnapping attempt! HOW do you skip a princess foiling her own kidnapping attempt?!) But for the brief time Doherty is on screen, she gives a masterclass in Unimpressed Face, perfectly capturing Princess Anne’s legendarily indifferent visage. Full Story

Revisiting The Crown: Prince Charles’s Most Hangdog Faces

In the third season of The Crown, Josh O’Connor steps in as grown-up Prince Charles. O’Connor gives a wonderful performance, capturing Charles’s awkwardness and latent vindictiveness, all while cultivating audience sympathy for Charles’s uneasy position in the family and spiky relationship with his mother. Full Story

Prince Charles and Camilla have been on tour over the last couple of weeks in India, New Zealand, and the Solomon Islands, though you wouldn’t know it because their travels have been totally overshadowed. Charles has been overshadowed before. Princess Diana used to overshadow him and he wasn’t all that fond of it. Full Story

Amazingly, though some reporters here and there have tried it, the UK tabloids haven’t let up on Prince Andrew to resume their attacks on Meghan Markle. Probably because the public isn’t having it. It’s now been just over a week since Andrew’s interview about his friend, the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, aired on BBC Newsnight. Full Story

We’re going to get to Prince Andrew later – what we’re talking about here, in this post, is the fact Prince Andrew, the beloved second son of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, known for years for his reportedly boorish behaviour and my-sh*t-don’t-stink attitude, has become a punchline, a joke, a joke that you can make on broadcast television in England without fear. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Everyone is still talking about Prince Andrew announcing yesterday that he would be stepping down for the “foreseeable future” from public duties on behalf of the British royal family. In the letter that was released confirming the decision, Andrew says that he was the one who decided to quit and cleared it with the Queen.  Read Full Intro
