Is this some kind of trend?
Cheryl Cole introduced herself to America the other day in a pair of ill-fitting purple pants with her hair tricked out for Country Music. Pure Dolly Parton styles. Click here for a refresher.
Last night in New York at the Robin Hood Foundation Benefit, Sarah Jessica Parker was also in purple. And, like Cheryl, was also teased up in the head. I’m just wondering why a supposed style icon like SJP is following Cheryl Cole who, at one time, was taking style and life tips from Victoria Beckham.
Having said that, Cheryl’s face, I mean, that hair, while assy, wasn’t unflattering on her face. She has a lovely little face. It didn’t take away from how pretty she is.
SJP on the other hand…
Not everyone has to be empirically goodlooking. Charlotte Gainsbourg is not empirically goodlooking. Charlotte, like SJP, is interesting looking. I’d rather look like Charlotte Gainsbourg than Cheryl Cole, straight up. Sometimes interestingly looking is better, sexier, more memorable, but you do have to mind your angles, you know? When SJP minds her angles, and they did it for her so well on Sex & the City – not the movies – she was indeed better, sexier, more memorable than whatever it is to be empirically goodlooking.
But this…
This here…
This hair…
It doesn’t mind the angles.
