It wasn’t Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck making news the last couple of days. It was an Ana de Armas fan account on Twitter that made “BREAKING!” news when Ana de Armas Updates announced that Ana de Armas had blocked them on Twitter. After taking a day to wallow in the pain – and do publicity – Ana de Armas Updates is back doing what it does best: updating us on Ana de Armas’s projects. Her new film, Sergio, is now available to stream on Netflix. And “AJ” a 23-year-old Texan, the person who runs Ana de Armas Updates, has given an interview to Paper Magazine about the experience of being rejected by his idol!!!!!!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOL I LOVE THIS STORY SO MUCH.
As I wrote yesterday, one of the reasons Ana’s reaction was so puzzling is because Ana de Armas Updates is funny and clever. Maria just posted about Johnny Depp and how some of his fans can behave and… well… we’ve seen the bonkers examples of when fan appreciation gets out of control. (Remember when some TwiHards tattooed Robert Pattinson’s face on their bodies?) This is an Ana de Armas Updates. And you’ll appreciate from this interview that “AJ” is, indeed, hilarious. When asked whether or not this experience has changed how he feels about his queen, he tells Paper that:
"I think this made me stan her more, strangely. It's a power move, and I like a good diva."
Come on. He’s amazing.
And at this point, no, now that she’s blocked him, she can’t unblock him. Now it’s a relationship. Now she has to toy with him – sounds like he’d like that.
As for his sense of humour and why he’s been getting cheekier in his posts about Ana, “AJ” explains:
"I had to spice it up for the sake of my account. I wanted to have fun and was playfully teasing the aspect of their showy dog walks. I love how she doesn't care that paps are outside her house and she's going to serve a look no matter what, even if that means just going to pick up her dog's poop.”
Yes. She is serving looks! Here’s the latest – on their dog walk yesterday, Ana wear a leather or faux leather dress. At one point she and Ben got their leashes caught and ended up with him looking like he was putting his arms around her from behind. I’m sure there’s a joke there for “AJ” but not sure if he’ll be able to make it. I hope so. And Ana should too. This is unintentional accidental GREAT publicity. If only she could see it that way.
