There have been so many looks, not just for the last few weeks but… like over a year! And it’s banger after banger after banger!

The cast of Oz was serving, yet again, on Monday night at the Wicked: For Good premiere in New York which was, technically, the final stop on the press tour but definitely not the final stop of the season as the movie is expected to make an award season run and there is no doubt we’ll be seeing all of them on many, many carpets to come. Still, they pulled out the pyro, literally, because the film opens on Friday.

Now to the fashion, starting with Michelle Yeoh because this frothy tulle chartreuse Givenchy is literally my dream, I love it SO MUCH.

As for Ariana, it’s custom Schiaparelli and it’s exquisite. But maybe hard to appreciate how special it is just in still photos. You have to see how it moves and takes the light, especially the corset, to fully take in the detail, the ruching, the couture, darling!

Also the house shared a video on the making, I wish more designers would do this.

Law Roach’s work has been top tier with Ariana, holy sh-t. But Jason Bolden has been equally as impressive with Cynthia Erivo who was in Balenciaga, also custom, by Pierpaolo Piccioli. It’s brilliant – like very much the bones of Balenciaga with all that leather but turning that leather into feather mini-headbands is also very much Pierpaolo’s signature femininity and softness. Which also captures the essence of Elphaba, a powerful and defiant witch who is also vulnerable and compassionate and kind.

Screams… because the fashion has been THRILLING.

Speaking of fashion… what else happened today…

The theme for the 2026 Met Gala was announced on Monday as “Costume Art” to celebrate the Costume Institute’s new home at the museum which, of course, is what the Met Gala has been funding over the years. Technically the party is a fundraiser by way of the most high profile fashion show. The easiest interpretation here is that those invited with dress up as a painting, LOL. It could also quickly turn into Halloween in May. Just with fewer sexy cats and devils. Or, um, maybe that’s what might happen. (Vogue)

Cinephiles have been talking about the prequel to Michael Mann’s Heat for a long, long time. It’s a classic, I am among those who love this film… and I can’t decide how I feel about this project. Like part of me wants them to leave it the f-ck alone and the other part is, um, yeah, I guess it would be interesting to get a story about what the Robert De Niro and Al Pacino characters were like when they were younger…? Maybe? For a while there Austin Butler and Adam Driver were rumoured to be attached. Now Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale have joined the chat. (Pajiba)

In case you weren’t caught up on the “May I Meet You” meme, Katie Baker is here to explain. What would you do if someone approached you with this line? If it were me, since I have stranger danger and generally don’t want to talk to anyone, this is actually maybe the one of the few times I could see how the Gen Z stare might be useful. (The Ringer)

Keith Urban broke up with Nicole Kidman and it’s been a non-stop streak of poor life choices ever since. (Celebitchy)

Ebonie Walker’s excellent piece about what we lose when Black women in journalism disappear. (Refinery 29)
