Busy Philipps’s broken heart
I’m a real sucker for a heart print shirt and I love (no pun intended) this short sleeve button down. The white version is mostly sold out but it’s still available in black from Allsaints.
I think this is my first post featuring Solange which is downright criminal because she has incredible style. It’s no surprise to see her in the controversial sandal of summer, a shoe that’s bold enough to be recognizable but also unusual enough to be plastered all over Instagram. This is not a nude strappy sandal with a block heel. The padded Jil Sander leather sandal is nearly sold out and I’ve only found it on luxury reseller sites. (She’s wearing them in the fifth slide.) More controversy: if you like The Row but don’t have $1600 to spend on pants, Jil Sander has been doing “quiet luxury” since the Olsens were in diapers and there are end-of-season sales like the one happening right now on Ssense.
Ms. Howard’s phone case
This was a fun one to find as Abbott Elementary is one of the best-dressed shows on TV. Ms. Howard, true to her character, dresses with grace and sophisticated modesty and you know Ms. Howard loves a blouse on sale – but not a poly blend! One hundred per cent silk all the way. She is quality over quantity. The red cross-body phone case/wallet combo she uses is by Bandolier Style and look, a crossbody phone case is extremely utilitarian (this brand even makes holsters) but this is great for work, for a walk or for on days a purse is just too much stuff. Ms. Howard has her hands full with kindergarteners so wearing her phone around her neck makes a lot of sense.
Julianne Hough’s shirt jacket
The shirt jacket AKA the shacket is here to stay! It’s great alone for spring and fall and as a layer for summer nights and winter days under a coat. Love this oversize denim version on Julianne Hough but the downside is it’s Khaite and sold out (also: it costs many hundreds of dollars) but you can probably find an oversize denim shacket at your brand of choice and pretty much any price point. My advice? Bigger is better. It pairs well with a hoodie.
