Kate Hudson: stylist switch up?

Remember how I said Kate Hudson pulls up to the press junket ready to work? A big part of that is wardrobe; she pulls so many looks with her long-time stylist Sofia Lopez. Typically, we associate Kate with a bit of a boho glam look but for Running Point, she’s mixed it up a bit with some power jackets and suits, and I’ve noticed that she’s switched up her stylist. She’s worked with Sophia Lopez forever but for some recent looks, she’s tagged Marc Eram. The jacket she’s wearing here is Saint Laurent and still up on Net-a-Porter.

But it doesn’t seem like a total split from Sophia, who worked on Running Point and went on a shopping trip with Kate in December. Maybe just clashing schedules?

What is it that makes buying a belt so hard? I’m always looking at belts but can never quite commit because the style is too thick, or too thin, or the buckle is too prominent or too plain. This one caught my eye and when a reader sent it, I promised myself I would buy it after I posted. Joke’s on me, the Annie Bing Orion belt is already out. Back to belt purgatory. 

Bowen’s cozy coat

It is zip-up sherpa season–but not for much longer!–but I love a sherpa when it’s not raining. I just bought a sherpa and corduroy vest (the clashing materials is what drew me to it) and I’ve been wearing it non-stop, but it’s sold out now. Bowen Yang is bundled here but not bulky - this print is from Found and sold out as well but they have lots of interesting jackets in this cut. A delightful Friday afternoon browse.

Oh and here’s Bowen in what I think is a cravat. Or an ascot? I’m sorry, don’t yell at me! I’m Google guessing but whatever it is, I love it. In fashion evolution, why did the tie win out over the cravat? Ties are restrictive and stiff, cravats are silky and smooth.
