As Seen On Social Media: Sienna Miller goes festival-ing, Mandy Moore’s black-and-white dresses

Sienna Miller was kind of a pioneer of the boho-festival style and she’s been able to stick with it without it looking costume-y. She had the obligatory mid-aughts fashion line Twenty8Twelve as well as collaborations with retailers like H&M and most recently, Marks & Spencer (just last year!). Through the surges and dips in her career one thing has remained: she is a fashion girlie and the industry loves her.

Recently she was spotted at Glastonbury and instead of the tall Hunter wellies (made a “must have” by Kate Moss at that same festival - this is herstory!), Sienna mixed it up with ankle boots (which seem a lot more comfortable and lighter for long days). Barbour boots are a smart choice as it is all the things: UK heritage, sometimes hand-made and posh (but not flashy). These boots are sold at a bunch of places and I think there will be a run on them come fall. The jacket is also Barbour (the Charlene, sold out as far as I can tell). The white jeans are Khaite and honestly, nothing says “VIP” at an outdoor music festival quite like white jeans – no worry about getting brushed up against in mud pit.

I received a request for Mandy Moore’s podcast outfit and at first I thought it was a matching set but instead, it’s a dress by Rixo Londo Mono Wave. And the best news is Rixo’s site has lots in stock, sizes 6-26. That rarely happens! Rixo makes a lot of really cute dresses and as we get into July, sale season is ramping up. Retailers need to make way for a heavy fall inventory and we are already seeing the trickle of sales (Shopbop and Aritzia have started, and Amazon Prime is in a couple of weeks.) If you have your eye on something but the price isn’t right, now is the time to practice patience.

The Bear is an It Girl

Is The Bear the best dressed show on TV? I don’t know but everything from Carmy’s white t-shirts to Syd’s Thom Browne chef’s jacket screams taste. We haven’t even touched on Syd’s vintage clothing, the Birkenstock clogs or her bandanas (which should have their own Instagram account). Today I’ve been specifically tasked with finding a pair of her earrings and what I’ve come to discover is that she wears Catbird NYC (Ayo Edebiri said it herself in an interview) and the specific ones the reader is looking for look a lot like the Jack + G ones below (flip to the second photo to see an ear shot). To make things even more confusing, Catbird NYC sells Jack + G jewellery as well. Andrea, I think I’m onto something here – what say you?
