Is The Bear the best-dressed show on TV this year? Quite possibly and I think it’s because The Bear is showing us work clothes. Not office clothes, but for people who do physical work (like a kitchen), the clothes are lived in. The wardrobe department really does a great job dressing the characters in clothes that look like they have seen the inside of a washing machine.

First up is not a casual piece but I think it can be worn every day: Tiff’s mismatched wedding day earrings. Did it make sense from a narrative standpoint to have almost every character at this wedding? No, of course not. But sometimes we need to let sh-t go to move the story along.

Tiff is of course the coolest and that goes for her mismatched earrings; it took me a minute to figure out if it was a wardrobe flub or two pairs worn separately. Turns out I was wrong on both counts, it’s a set from Completed Works, I love them. And I’m obsessed with all of the knotted and bow styles, too.

Next up are two press appearances: Ayo Edebiri hit up the Team Coco podcast in a sweater making me wish it wasn’t summer. It’s the Our Legacy cardigan, with one left at Ssense (which is Canadian!).

Then there’s Abby Elliott on WWHL in an animal print dress (with GREAT hair). She’s in Rixo, which has a whole animal print line.

There’s also a great page that tracks all of the fits, check it out.

Not enough Too Much

The requests have started for Too Much, which might be giving The Bear some competition for best dressed show on TV. They did a bang-up job with the wardrobe which is chaotic in a good way. I was specifically asked about a hoodie and I call these gas station hoodies. It’s the kind of thing you pick up on a road trip because you are cold and it ends up becoming your most worn piece. It’s nostalgic but in a way that can’t be faked, like all of the mock “camp” hoodies or airport-style tourist hoodies that are sold by mid-level retailers now. The whole point is that this sweatshirt was earned. You can find Fernwood Cove merchandise through its clothing supplier here.

This site also has a deep dive into multiple Too Much outfits, a great resource. And since we are talking about hoodies, it reminded me of this story about Camber.

I still haven’t bought one because I am super picky about my sweatshirts, but this might be the year.
