Awkwafina’s Snowsuit
I don’t know if this is actually a snowsuit but it’s giving snowsuit, right? If you grew up in the 70s and 80s, the white and green that’s happening here is very much what our snow clothing looked like back in the day. Awkwafina’s fit here is a high fashion update – ridiculous but intentionally so.
The whole point is absurdity, especially with the Gumby legs… but I don’t hate it. Might not wear the pants because of the length and also, crotch heat. Snowpants are furnaces, sh-t gets way too toasty down there.

The jacket though? All over it. Especially the little side zippers where your arms can come out. I wonder what colours this might come in. Mint green and white is great but I’d also go for pink and white. The dream, however, would be orange and white. If I find an orange and white option it’ll an instant add-to-cart and check out.
What else happened today…
John Malkovich, Ayo Edebiri, and Juliette Lewis co-star in Opus. Ayo and Juliette kinda sorta coordinated their outfits for the premiere last night. I’m sure they didn’t actually, but it looks like they did. Ayo’s dress waist red dress is… chef’s kiss. As for John, well, he wore exactly what you want John Malkovich to wear. And he looks wonderful and weird in green. (Go Fug Yourself)
Will Smith is trying to make Hancock 2 happen. And I’m not mad at that because I enjoyed the first Hancock. But he’s trying to make it happen now by hinting at Zendaya’s involvement which feels… desperado? (Pajiba)
There’s a story out of NYU about Barron Trump and another student who resigned because of something something how she described his presence on campus. This has to do with a Vanity Fair article published about him last week. Patrick Schwarzenegger’s role on the new season of The White Lotus reminded me of Barron and that great piece in The Cut about the new “cruel kids table” now that Trump is president again. Just because Barron is trying to keep a low profile doesn’t mean he’s harmless. (Celebitchy)
And on that note, this Vice piece that was published back in November, right after the election, has some good insight about Barron’s involvement, specifically in helping to secure the “bro vote”. So I don’t really buy the idea advanced by Vanity Fair that Barron is one of the few American young men who doesn’t live online. He just keeps that really undercover – which makes it all the more terrifying. (Vice)
Tomato soup and grilled cheese is exactly what I f-cking need right now. But I don’t really make tomato soup at home, this is a thing I exclusively buy and eat. Maybe I need to try one of these recipes this weekend. (Eater)
