It’s good to see Bella Hadid in New York because she wasn’t feeling well recently but obviously recovered well enough to be in town for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show happening tonight. Bella was also in last year’s comeback show for the brand following a six-year hiatus as a result of scandal and sh-t reputation.

I need to talk about her outfit here though. That brown sleeveless turtleneck tank top is so 90s coded, which I don’t mind. But the pants… please, Bella, no. I am pleading because Bella, like Hailey Bieber, is one of the model girlies who the girlies model themselves after. If either one of the two of them is wearing it, you’ll for sure start seeing it on IG and TikTok within weeks, maybe even days. So there are probably already online searches happening for whatever it is you want to call those bottoms. I don’t want to call them anything because naming them gives them an identity and makes them real. Let them not be real.

As for the fashion show, her hair is already very Victoria’s Secret. That’s an angel blowout if I ever saw one.

What else happened today…

MC wrote about the VS fashion show and its musical performance legacy, counting down the top five from the show’s history. Coming in at number one is the girl who not too long ago made Victoria’s secret old news. And now that she herself is on pause, they’re trying to capitalise on how she revitalised their own game. Christopher Nolan is one of the few directors who can sell movie tickets on his own, no matter who’s in the movie. He is not a factor in the Oscar race this year but he will be next year because The Odyssey is coming (and some screenings are already sold out 9 months in advance). So Chris Nolan is weighing in on his favourite performances of 2025 – and I guess he’s picked his best actor. (Pajiba)

Mia Goth covers the new issue of ELLE and I looooooove the way she’s been styled. The photos are FASHION! But also? That Saint Laurent dress – again! It’s on the cover of Vogue with Nicole Kidman, it’s in Harper’s Bazaar on Jennifer Aniston, and now a THIRD TIME in a different fashion magazine. Fashion editors love this piece! (Go Fug Yourself)

Apparently the British royal family doesn’t know what else to do about Prince Andrew – which implies they’ve exhausted all options. No, they actually haven’t. But I guess they’ll pick and choose who to protect. (Celebitchy)

Justin Charity writes beautifully about D’Angelo and his “lifetime of brilliance”. (The Ringer)
