Beyoncé on Harvest Moon Day! Beyoncé and Jay-Z went out to see Solange perform last night in New York at Radio City Music Hall. The reviews of Solange’s show have been terrific, at least the ones I’ve read. Here’s one from Mashable about how she incorporates performance art into her shows, and the thread of political activism that underlines each gesture.

In other Beyoncé news, it was reported this week that she sold one of her Manhattan apartments for $10 million. Click here to see some of the photos. It’s obviously not the same space but for some reason the way that living room is laid out, it reminds me of the Love On Top video. I LOVE that video.

It’s been a year of real estate for the Carters. After a couple of years looking for a place in LA, they bought a $135 million mansion in Bel Air this summer:

Also, just last month, a $26 million home in the Hamptons:

They still have a place in Tribeca but LA is where they’re considered to be based now. I mean you don’t spend that kind of money on a home in California and stay there for two weeks out of the year, although I’m not an expert on rich people residential habits. Probably lots of billionaires have 16 homes all over the world where they only stay a few days every couple of years. Still, the Blue Ivy Carter goes to school in LA. And the twins were born in LA. And if the Carters are working on a Hollywood takeover, getting into talent management and film production, etc, LA is likely where they will continue to spend time going forward. I do like New York Beyoncé though. Sometimes I wonder about LA Beyoncé. And whether or not she’s constantly having to try Gwyneth Paltrow’s fairy dust supplements when she’s there. It’s been a while since G’s been able to remind us of their friendship. Not that G would ever let that slip away from her, if she could help it.
