Millions of Americans – and non-Americans – are white-knuckling today which is why our Queen decided to gift us with a distraction: BEYWATCH. Seriously, I know I’m an annoying stan but I will never stop delighting in the creative ways she uses her name.

This, of course, is a tribute to three of Pamela Anderson’s most iconic looks, and appropriately set to her own song, off her most recent masterpiece of an album, COWBOY CARTER. Because you could also say that a lifeguard is a bodyguard.

But do NOT misunderstand: this is not an official music video. This is a Halloween costume.

I hate her, not really, I love her. And the effort here is hilarious with the step-and-repeat.

But also? I feel like this might be the Halloween equivalent of when she changed the game forever with Self-Titled and the surprise album drop back in 2013, which of course led to everyone doing surprise album drops because while, yes, it’s totally normal for celebrities to go all out with their Halloween costumes, and even multiple Halloween costumes, most of those are served as still photos on Instagram or maybe very short videos that are closer to GIFs.

Beyoncé gave us a whole ass music video that doesn’t officially count as the visuals but that for almost everyone could totally be an official music video. It’s a new standard for scale of production for a Halloween costume because the previous standard had become stale. That’s Beyoncé, as usual.

Over at The Squawk the other day, some people were wondering whether or not celebrity Halloween had gotten a little boring – everyone goes over the top and posts their pictures on social media and it was all blending together. Now Beyoncé served up a music video which means next year someone else is going to try it and we’ll then be at a new level of Halloween steroids. Since I hate Halloween, as much as I appreciate the Queen of Culture pushing up the levels once again, I think I might be mad at her, LOL.

But now that she has your attention and all the eyeballs, she’s using it with a message at the end:
