Earlier this week, I posted about Emilia Clarke’s classic summer outfit: a white tank, the perfect jean shorts, and a tan belt. Will never go out of style.
Keeping with the white and denim theme, here’s Brie Larson picking up some boxes from her stylist, Samantha McMillan. Looks like there’s definitely a pair of shoes in that haul. Wonder if this is for an upcoming appearance somewhere. I don’t remember if Brie’s promoting any projects in the next while but she did launch her YouTube channel recently so, I dunno, maybe it’s for that? Or, you know, maybe work and social media has nothing to do with it. Maybe she just wants some fresh gear to go along with the cute gear she already has. Like this white tee and these jeans. I know they might be an adventurous step for some of you. And I’m not saying you should throw out your skinny jeans. I’m just saying… sometimes your calves need a break. I’ve given my calves a break for over a year now. The skinny jeans are still in the closet. But my calves are getting some rest.
And so are Carey Mulligan’s. Carey! It’s been a WHILE. Was surprised to see pap shots of her in LA because I thought she’d be staying in England during the pandemic but there is work to be done. First of all, we’re all still waiting to see Promising Young Woman, which was supposed to be released in April and, well, you know. Promising Young Woman was first screened at Sundance in January to strong reviews. There’s been no update about when it’ll finally come out. But Carey’s already looking ahead.
She was seen visiting Bradley Cooper today at his home which could mean that she will indeed star with him in the Leonard Bernstein film he’s been planning for some time now. Bradley co-wrote the screenplay and will star in and direct the film. Back in January, it was confirmed that Netflix had acquired the rights and that Bradley would co-produce too with Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Todd Phillips. Last summer, he and Carey performed parts from Bernstein’s Candide with the Philadelphia Orchestra:
BIG NEWS! Bradley Cooper & Carey Mulligan join a star-studded cast from the worlds of opera and #Broadway for our season finale performances of Bernstein's "Candide" (6/20-22).

So while Carey’s not yet been officially announced to be in Bradley’s Bernstein film, there have long been rumours that she’d be part of it. And now that she’s going to see him, perhaps there will confirmation soon? The story will apparently focus on Bernstein’s marriage to Felicia Monteleagre – presumably, then, that would be Carey’s role? While we wait to find out about that, for now, please enjoy Carey, also in a white tee over jeans that don’t restrict the calves.
