Milan Fashion Week concludes today and it was Madonna at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show that was the biggest celebrity headline; she arrived in a veil and the designers practically knelt at her feet in appreciation. 

 

But now it’s Paris’s turn as more and more celebrities are being photographed ahead of the first presentations. One particular name is popping more than most: Bella Hadid. She’s taken some time off from modelling but has reemerged over the last few months and, most notably, was seen leaving the Valentino showroom this weekend. Valentino is always a heatscore – but Valentino show will be attracting even more eyeballs than usual this week because it’ll be Alessandro Michele’s first runway as the new creative director since leaving Gucci. And Bella apparently never modelled for Michele’s Gucci in his time so now the speculation is that Bella will be making her catwalk comeback in Alessandro’s debut. Valentino is a few days away though so it’s possible she’ll also be in some other shows, or maybe all of them, considering her popularity.

Less of a surprise – Kendall Jenner, still blonde, is also in Paris and was seen leaving her hotel this morning. I thought I liked the blonde initially when she showed it off. Now I’m not sure so sure.

Last week I used a post about JLo as an excuse to write about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row and its billion dollar valuation. Earlier this year, The Row show during PFW made headlines because phones were banned from the presentation as the brand did not want any images of the collection to be shared on social media, making them outliers because, these days, you can’t even call it thirst anymore, it’s just the standards; fashion houses rely on social media buzz for free marketing. We’ll have to see if the same rule is insisted upon this time. 

 

Here are Mary-Kate and Ashley, all covered up and, as usual, in no mood to be photographed, ahead of The Row show later this week. These two mean it when they say they don’t want a profile.

Other celebrities in town presumably for PFW – Eva Longoria, Rami Malek, and Laura Harrier, a regular at Louis Vuitton so for that’ll be one of the show she’ll be attending. The star who’s not so much a regular, though, is Jennifer Garner. She was photographed arriving in Paris and if you’re in Paris this week, it’s a high probably that it’s for fashion, so it’ll be interesting to see which house invited her and what she’ll be wearing in the front row. 

JLo was just in Paris in June for fashion week, as a guest of Dior, and wouldn’t it be great if the two Jennifers could do PFW together? It will likely never happen but if it’s not too much of a workload for the Gossip Genie, because we are constantly coming up with demands, that would be near the top of my list. Garner and Lopez on a fashion trip to Paris? It would be GREAT for gossip, non?
