I’m subbing in for Maria today, let’s start with Taylor Swift. The Tortured Poets Department will be out in exactly two weeks from today. Whatever Taylor’s been planning, it’s obviously all under control because she stepped out last night for a friend’s birthday dinner in LA.
The dinner ended as it often does – her security, once they’ve made sure she’s safely made her exit, goes back in to pay for everyone.
Trending right now: Bronny James, son of LeBron James, will enter the NBA Draft. This means that there’s the possibility that LeBron and Bronny might be on the same team. And of course that LeBron might consider staying with a team or playing for another one if they draft his kid…if he’s good enough. Twitter seems divided on whether or not he is. But if we’re looking for a Hollywood script, the father-son story here is indeed compelling.

Gucci yesterday shared new campaign assets featuring Kendall Jenner on the move. Some of these images were shot when she and Bad Bunny were still dating. And now that they’re no longer dating and he’s on tour, they’ve isolated Kendall and are using her for the brand.
Some people are mocking the campaign because Kendall doesn’t travel commercial but to me the bigger story is that Gucci really has had no heat for almost two years at this point – after being dominant for nearly a decade.
Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” is currently the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. All three of them are listed but, really, it’s Kendrick’s verse that most people are talking about because he’s taking it to Drake and J. Cole. J. Cole just dropped a surprise album and, yes, it’s a response to Kendrick. Which means, obviously, that everyone is now waiting for Kendrick’s response to J.Cole’s response to his first shot.
That wasn't no earthquake. That was Kendrick slamming the door to the recording booth he just walked into.

As for Drake?

J.Cole is j-hope’s hero, and it was a lifelong dream realised when they collaborated last year. I haven’t started watching his docuseries, Hope on the Street, yet which I hope doesn’t mean I’m getting my ARMY card taken away (it’s in the queue, there’s so much to watch ffs!), but I do love the TikTok clips from the series, including this latest one taken in Paris. God I wish I could dance like this.
