But the internet goes wild trying to come up with with larger plots (like lizard people and satanic rituals, very 80s), including outright AI-generated content that people take at face value. This is happening now with Jay-Z and Beyonce, with headlines trying to assign meaning to trivial things like a ring she wore on the red carpet. 

There’s no logic to the “contrition ring” story the UK tabloids are pushing because Beyonce could lose a $5 million ring and not sweat it. She could buy one of those rings for every finger and not think twice. The ring means nothing. She has shown her support for him very clearly this week, why would she send a message with her ring?

Has Anne Hathaway ever done an action comedy? She is working with David Bautista on a sting wedding-FBI-mob movie – the premise works, they are both charming and this is exactly the kind of “missing middle” movie we need. Not a tentpole or IP, just a little movie to watch on Friday night.
