Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez (I almost wrote Garner) finalized their divorce yesterday. Not with a bang but a whimper. Think they still need to unload that mega-mansion though.

Meghan Markle posted her vision board and I think this means she is going to be “posting through it” in terms of the As Ever drama, and let it die out. It’s not a bad strategy as she can’t constantly be defending herself but the difference between this criticism and the usual stuff she faces is that the As Ever name drama is based in fact – this company has existed for years. It’s quite different than the usual stuff she deals with, the bulk of which is bad-faith, bottom-of-the-barrel noise. As Ever also has their own Instagram (smart to separate herself from the brand a bit) but eventually it will have to open comments. Part of ecommerce is customer service and that is the first place people reach out now with questions. The virtual wall will have to come down eventually.

First thing this morning I read Sarah’s take on James Bond because I knew she’d explain the business behind it. This guy has no idea he’s the baseline for a villain, right? The key difference is Bond villains are cool. Billionaires are the most uncool people on the planet.

The Vanity Fair Oscar livestream is being hosted by Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner (the host the Giggly Squad podcast), Tan France and Francesca Scorsese. I was just talking about Francesca, do you think they will have her doing TikTok live?

Reese Witherspoon thinking her friend dropped this gem off the top of her head is kind of funny – it’s the “live laugh love” of motivational quotes (often attributed to Henry Ford).

Being a celebrity spiritual guru would be such an easy job, you could just send them Dr. Seuss quotes.

I read a theory on The White Lotus (and we are one episode in) that has kind of boggled my mind but I don’t want to say it in case it’s a big reveal. If people are figuring it out this early then it’s probably because Mike White wanted us to. I just don’t want to get yelled at by the spoiler police.

The person who brings us Severance is emotionally invested in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so don’t ever let anyone shame you about your TV choices.
