It’s not the optimal time for Rita Ora to launch a celebrity hair care line, considering CÉCRED’s recent drop and the total Beyoncé takeover.

There’s always a lot of competition in the beauty space but I think the celebrity skin care lines have slowed down and hair care lines are now in full swing. Next up, what can we expect? Body care. Lotions, hand creams, body washes and all that. But back to Rita Ora: one thing I am down with is that she mentions extensions in her captions. A small and obvious thing, but so many celebs don’t acknowledge the hair help, which is similar to when they promote a skin care line without mentioning all the medical spa work.

You know what celebrity-backed brand I’m interested in these days? Fabletics. There’s a new Khloe Kardashian collection, which got me thinking about how this family’s MO is to create their own brands and not to really be the face for others (which has obviously served them very, very well). What makes Fabletics worth Khloe’s time, considering she also has Good American? She’s one of many celebs, including Lizzo and Kevin Hart, to have a collection with this brand. Is Fabletics paying them up front for an endorsement or is it some kind of profit split? I’d be curious to know how these deals shake out.

I was going to include Kate Hudson in the endorsement list but she’s actually a founder. She hardly promotes it anymore, moving from the face of it to an “advisory role” in 2021.

Seinfeld makes a good point in this clip: being a killjoy can be part of the fun when traveling. But there’s an art to it – some complainers are entertaining, some are draining. It also feels like, particularly in the age of Instagram, travel has become a mandatory hobby. It’s the performance of adventure. Too much pressure to appear to be having fun all the time.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are shlepping four small kids on a transatlantic trip. Phew. And yes they fly business and definitely have help (there’s rules for kids under two and lap seating, depending on the airline and country). They could have swung a private flight. It’s not like they own a jet, but this is special circumstances and there’s so many services that are like Uber, so why do you think they didn’t? Environmental concerns, maybe? I know most celebs don’t care but I feel like they might.

I wrote about Karlie Kloss yesterday but am including her today because she’s using the attention she’s received from a street naming in St. Louis to advocate for abortion rights in Missouri.
