Beth and Randall #DoTheShiggy.
But…
Remember what I said the other day, when I wrote about this latest Drake-inspired meme, the #InMyFeelings challenge? “This will go on for another day or so. And then you know what’s going to happen? They’ll start doing it on morning shows and during the weather. That’s when you know it’s the end. When loser ass talk show hosts like me will have to do it just to further bury it into the ground.”
Well.
There are two movies now in production about the rescue of the young boys in Thailand and their coach. Jon M Chu, the director of my favourite movie of the year, Crazy Rich Asians, even though I haven’t seen it yet, is directing one of them. Pretty sure Scarlett Johansson won’t be in his version:
I refuse to let Hollywood #whitewashout the Thai Cave rescue story! No way. Not on our watch. That won’t happen or we’ll give them hell. There’s a beautiful story abt human beings saving other human beings. So anyone thinking abt the story better approach it right & respectfully.

Its a bit early 2truly discuss but the biggest lesson I learned frm making #CrazyRichAsians is that we must tell our stories especially the important ones so history doesnt get it wrong. This one is too important 2 let others dictate who the real heroes are https://t.co/ZmnSBFvPI3

Those days of letting it happen are over. Never again. We have arrived. And we aren’t playing.

Why did it take me 38 years to realize... we can fight back. https://t.co/AqmVANFVDN

When Jon M Chu isn’t working on his next project and making sure stories are inclusive and well-represented, he’s hanging out with Lin-Manuel Miranda. I sent this to Duana with the caption “our worlds collide”. Crazy Rich Asians meets Hamilton!
I really, really love this cut on Gabrielle Union – the jaggedness, the piece-y-ness of it. Would look like sh-t on me though.
All of Chris Pratt’s IG posts lately have been about #farmlife. So he’s been on the farm. This latest post prompted me to google “lamb photo” and “sheep photo”. So he’s educating me.
When people put up “half-a-face” shots up on social media, do they actually take a photo of half their face? Or is it a full face and they cut off the other half in post-production?
