Kind of feel like I should get the day off for this.

This, to me, is bigger than any hard relationship launch: Ariana Grande will continue to work with HYBE and the press release (via Billboard and Rolling Stone, so it’s legit) makes sure to note that the CEO is Scooter Braun. It’s a definitive statement. Beyond the gossip, this tracks with what insiders have been saying about Scooter: he’s a CEO and doesn’t want to manage day-to-day client relations and tours anymore because it’s a giant pain in the ass. Ariana is managed by Brendan Creed at Good World Management (Lizzo and Bruno Mars are some other clients). Demi Lovato was also one of the famous names who left Scooter and she is also with Brendan Creed

It seems like it’s been a transition period while he sets clients up with new teams. (Justin Bieber is the big question mark – I don’t know if he has a manager right now.)  The massive dislike for Scooter online has people wanting to Free Ariana or think she’s stuck with him. While untangling these relationships isn’t easy, she has options. One sentence in an Instagram story and she could kick up enough attention to get out of any contract. If she is sticking with Hybe, the paperwork and negotiations would take months and she would be getting serious legal advice. We never know what is going on behind the scenes but it looks like this is her decision – despite the comment outrage.

Jude Law said he’d be down for a The Holiday sequel and really, that world could work again. Where did they end up – UK or LA? Did they even stay together? But Nancy Meyers has been denying a sequel for years and off the top of my head, I actually can’t think of films of hers that have a part two. Maybe it’s not her style of writing. Also, she had a movie in the works at Netflix that was cancelled for budgetary reasons (egregious, give her Marvel money) but at one point Warner Bros. was interested and Scarlett Johannson was attached. That was back in March 2023 and it really goes to show how difficult it is to get an original movie made (not a remake, not a sequel, not a superhero). She is a beloved rom-com writer/director and Scarlett is a massive A-list movie star. How is this even a gamble for studios? We will watch this movie for years!

Katie Holmes has a capsule collection with APC – very classic pieces, very woman-about-town. Zac Posen showed up to support her and as we know, Zac is at Gap now. Could there be a Gap x APC line in the works?!

Bebe Rehxa called G-Eazy a “fake ungrateful loser” on Instagram, then took it down and tweeted, and is now posting “I said what I said” while drinking coffee. So she’s still out there. He hasn’t responded and probably shouldn’t because really, on the scale of celebrity sins, being fake and ungrateful is low stakes. And it is probably an overall win for his engagement – I haven’t looked at his Instagram since he was with Halsey.
