Sharon Stone was trending on Twitter because of a screenshot from a recent interview, with her thoughts on Meryl Streep’s career. The tweet left the source uncredited but it’s from Everything Zoomer (a Canadian publication) and written by Johanna Schneller. Sharon is always a dish and this is getting attention because she “went after” Meryl Streep. It’s social media so the conversation is reductive but read the whole interview for Sharon’s opinion on why are some people are lauded, “envelope pushers” (those who don’t question the status quo in Hollywood and are rewarded for it) and the untouchability of stars who are deemed “good” and worthy of adoration. Really what she said isn’t that controversial because we know Viola Davis is as good as Meryl.
