Kate Beckinsale has had a few back-and-forth with commentors about her physical appearance (even though she’s been clear she’s had health struggles and is grieving) and it’s wild to me that an adult takes the time to type out “you’re too skinny.” OK. What would you like her to do about that at this very moment?! 

 

We would assume, after Chadwick Boseman, there would be a teeny bit of change when it comes to strangers making incredibly rude assumptive comments but, in my anecdotal scrolling, it’s gotten worse. Because now people feel emboldened  to comment on their body and to ask about weight loss drugs. 

 

Lenny Kravitz is making all kinds of headlines this morning for being celibate for “9 years” which, in the context of his new profile in the Guardian, is true. Here is the excerpt: Kravitz tells me he’s not been in a serious relationship for nine years. Were you serious when you said a while ago that you wanted to be celibate until you found the right woman? “Yes. It’s a spiritual thing.” He is celibate, but doesn’t clarify the timeline or number of years. And he practices celibacy with a larger purpose; there’s a whole tangle of stuff with his dad and infidelity. It also aligns with his views on discipline: he has a lot of it. That’s why he can work out in leather pants. 

 

Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs are the married co-creators of Hacks, but he is more visible because he’s on the show. I really enjoy his character. They’ve been doing some podcast appearances, separately and together, and Chelsea Handler talking about Dr. Phil’s wife sitting in the audience of every show absolutely cracked me up. 

 

I had completely forgotten about that. Did she watch the entire show and come out for the final segment? I know sometimes she used to hawk stuff at the end of the episodes. Even when she didn’t speak, Mrs. Dr. Phil had to get full hair, makeup and wardrobe for that walk off stage with him.

 

OK just an observation but Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham has been traveling without his wife Nicola, which is understandable as her grandmother recently passed and they were very close. Throughout this tough time, he has continued to like her posts (as has Victoria); Nicola is not interacting with him at all. Again, understandable if she was taking a break but she is still posting and liking other people’s stuff. These two are usually all over each other on social media. Just an observation.
