As Lainey mentioned in her opening, this Tuesday in May we’d usually be coming off the Met Gala, which is an all-nighter. Usually I write about the Olsens and how they are their own theme – they don’t need to adhere to the costume aspect. This year’s theme is In America: A Lexicon of Fashion and the gala is scheduled for September. The Olsens run a luxury American fashion line so they will finally fit the theme. Or rather, the theme will finally fit the Olsens.

Alexander Skarsgård is joining the cast of Succession as a “successful, confrontation tech founder and CEO.” Every bit of news just ratches up the anticipation for a new season. They are still filming. I listened to a podcast with Fisher Stevens and he said it’s very slow going. You know what is interesting about the mostly-male leads? Significant height differences between Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Nicholas Braun and Matthew Macfayden. A real mixed bag.

Julianna Margulies has written a memoir that is in the pre-order stage. There’s one story I want and I don’t know if it will be in there. What happened with Archie Panjabi?! A question for the ages. I’m more interested in that anecdote than anything about George Clooney.

I don’t know any Frenchies but now I want to befriend one. Imagine being so good at being a dog that humans don’t even try to control you with their little treats.

Britney Spears posted this on Instagram and it’s interesting because the #FreeBritney people say they want her to speak, but when she does speak, they don’t believe it’s her voice. Or they don’t like what is being said. In questioning this, is it just perpetuating exactly the kind of dismissiveness and toxicity that has surrounded her or is it fair to be skeptical?

So according to my social media feed, this post is about Drake (the woman in question is Naomi Sharon). Drake seems to be leaning into it really hard. We know he’s really good at going viral – early marketing for his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy?
