Chrissy Teigen is launching a dog food line and I don’t have a dog right now but I have two dog nephews and is there a shortage of dog food brands? When I go into a pet store it seems like endless choices. It’s also interesting to me that she would launch a new brand instead of going back to Safely, the cleaning line she launched with Kris Jenner and the team behind Skims.
The Guardian has an interesting story on “divorce regret” and couples who reunite after a legal split. I find these stories really interesting and from a gossip perspective, we’ve been watching one round of regret play out in Bennifer (they weren’t married the first time, but close!). And it got me thinking: who would you RE-Gossip Genie? I know that the Minivan Majority would be all over Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. But let’s get real: who actually has a chance of getting back together? As it stands, only a handful of celebrities have remarried a spouse: Elizabeth Taylor (obviously, queen sh-t), Barbara Walters, Judge Judy, Melanie Griffith and Eminem. I’m sure there’s more, but that’s off the top of my head. Here’s Melanie Griffith with Antonio Banderas, who she only married once, and their daughter Stella. Father and daughter have a new movie coming out.
Bono stopped in to sing Happy Birthday to Catherine Zeta-Jones, a casual flex.
Lainey wrote about Justin Bieber this morning and gets to the issue about concern trolling – people are being salacious, not caring. And it got me thinking about men like Diddy and Epstein and Weinstein - conspiracy theories are very grand online, but in reality, the conspiracy is silence. There are many ways they enforce that silence, from physical abuse to financial coercion, but they don’t need a shadowy web of protection because society protects them.
These men lived large in plain sight because the actual conspiracy is misogyny and it works in their favour nearly every time. So it's easier to believe that we should blame Oprah or Meryl Streep or Beyoncé when the men are right in our faces.
Versace’s archive is full of iconic prints and gowns, but Kate Hudson chose this. She looks like she is working on Below Deck. Maybe she purposefully wanted to disappear because this is very low-key and she is on several red carpets a year, she knows what she wants out of a dress.
