Anna Sawai is the moment and I am very into her work with stylist Karla Welch. The red carpet looks are great, very fitting for a nominee/winner, but I think my favourite so far is the Moschino look in the first carousel (second photo). From the front it looks like a black two-piece but the side and back are much cooler. I can’t find a full shot, I need to see the shoes.

 
 

Have you heard the term “almond mom”? This is the original almond mom, and that’s not an exaggeration. There was a scene on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that started it – Yolanda Hadid told Gigi to chew a few almonds “really well” to stave off weakness. Yolanda is a gorgeous woman and she modelled, but not at the level her daughters have achieved. She knew what it took to get the top of the industry and while many disagreed with her methods, it worked for Bella and Gigi’s careers.

This is an awkward transition to Zayn Malik (who once called Yolanda a “f-cking Dutch slut” in an altercation) but you know what Zayn and Gigi had in common? They seem to love extravagant birthday cakes. Zayn had this The Last of Us cake done by The London Baker (who is based in Dallas and flew to deliver it to him, presumably in Pennsylvania). This is such a commitment for a cake that you probably don’t even eat, right? 

 

It’s unclear what role Ivanka Trump will have in her dad’s administration this time. She spent four years being relatively quiet (and making some in-roads in social circles) but I don’t think it’s a coincidence she chose a wellness podcast for a rare interview just as her dad is about to take office. She purposely doesn’t go on Fox or something like The Megyn Kelly Show because she wants to maintain a kind of plausible deniability and this is the space to speak in platitudes and say nothing but seem deep. 

I can’t believe I am here to defend Justin Timberlake, but I think I am about to do it. So there’s a clip of him going around on Twitter and people are saying he’s being rude. 

 

OK, I need to know what happened in the minute before this video because these people are clearly trying to get his attention and keep asking him to race. You don’t f-ck with people when they are driving, that’s dumb as hell.

 

Nicole Kidman is all over awards season (not complaining) and Keith Urban hasn’t really joined her because he’s on tour. That’s probably all it is. They were together in Nashville on New Year’s Eve so things are probably fine, right? Right?????
