Jessica Alba confirmed her divorce on Instagram (there’s a lot going on in LA and she’s a long-time supporter of Baby2Baby and has been volunteering, so clearly she’s busy).

On its face, it is the typical divorce statement. But like Jessica Simpson’s, there is a little bit of juice with the “I’ve been on a journey” – it’s more explanatory than I expected.

TikTok is set to go down in the US on Sunday and as Lainey wrote this week, RedNote is rising with users in the West. I’m paraphrasing a comment I saw because it made me think: Gen Z is less susceptible to propaganda around US-China geopolitics because a Cold War is the least of their worries. They are facing real, urgent challenges like housing scarcity, inflation, a decimated middle class, gun violence, health care costs, natural disasters heightened by climate change etc. They don’t see China or Russia or Cuba as the issue.

Stephanie has her hands full with Reality Recap because Bravo is a content geyser, but one thing that’s gone under-the-radar is that Nene Leakes is open to the possibility of returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Nene is my all-time favourite Housewife not just for what she gave on the show but for what she has given to society – the memes, the phrases, the quotes. She had a very contentious breakup with the brand and filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, Andy Cohen, and the production companies for racial discrimination and creating a hostile work environment. The suits were dismissed and she asserts she has been punished by the industry.

This slight defrosting in the relationship would be good for Bravo and even better for the fans, but it has to be the right deal for Nene. The excitement this would bring is immeasurable and that needs to be compensated.

The paps are all up in Ben Affleck’s business as the fires continue in LA. Sometimes the headline is that he looks “tense” and that’s understandable, it’s a tense situation. But Ben is the grumpy cat of movie stars. He doesn’t have the social battery to smile and wave. Same with social media: I’d like for him to have Instagram again, he’d be so good at it if he showed a bit of himself. Tell me who is better at pulling on a cigarette between fan photos.

Yes this clip is old but social media is not popping right now so I think a classic is in order. Here’s Tig Notaro telling a story that pays off in ways you won’t expect.
