Ayo Edebiri’s style is so good it almost feels redundant to keep pointing it out but I can’t ignore. It’s TOO good.

Look at her giving rich and mysterious in The Row.

Bruno Mars posted a joke about his gambling debt, meaning he’s aware of the rumor and doesn’t care. I like this energy. I also like Bruno Mars x Hello Kitty. He is a massive artist who collaborates with the biggest stars – Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Hello Kitty. You know what’s interesting about Bruno? We know nothing about him. Maybe his hardcore fans do but there’s no notable fandom or online army (compared to other pop stars); I’m not sure if he’s married or has kids, no idea where he lives, haven’t seen a pap shot of him, no clue what his politics are. Very rare.

The New York Magazine cover is causing a furor online (Lainey touched on it in What Else? yesterday) and what strikes me about it is how these people don’t see how tacky, sweaty and unstylish they are. It’s garish. This may be the political movement of the moment, but it is not culturally influential. No one wants to dress like them, eat at their restaurants, listen to their playlists. There is nothing cool about them.

To influence people, you need to create something. And creating art requires empathy, curiosity, humanity. It also requires a medium that people care about. If this cover was done by Young MAGA Monthly or whatever no one would care. It’s New York Magazine that made them relevant for 15 minutes.

Alan Cumming got a lot of birthday wishes and the one I’m most interested in is from Dermot Mulroney, “Happy Birthday, Alan love you thank you for saving my life in Munich”. Dermot’s message also a heart and fist bump. OK so what happened in Munich?!

Valentine’s Day is coming up and as we’ve said in previous years, this is an investigation holiday. If there’s any couples that are maybe on the brink, this is when we put our monocle on and take a closer look.

Noah Centineo is promoting The Recruit, several years removed from his Netflix breakout now. It’s in its second season, which means the numbers must be good because Netflix has not been shy about canceling shows. Noah was the internet’s boyfriend for a minute – remember that super swoony article in The Cut? – but that kind of fame is not sustainable and everyone knows it. But it also must be very hard to deal with being the It Boy and watching people move on so quickly. Overall, he’s maintained a good pace and hasn’t burned out on CGI flops like so many young male stars have done in the past. There was Black Adam, but that film is associated with The Rock, not him.
