Celebrity Social Media, January 30, 2025
Our site manager Emily sent me this with a short and impactful message: “No.” But it is a good time to talk to about the low-vibration rumours that there’s trouble in her marriage. Going by social media, they seem fine and from a gossip perspective, Justin should be doing everything he can to keep this intact.
A divorce would not be good for him.
SNL is celebrating a big anniversary and made some official merch with Favorite Daughter. This is interesting to me because why them? They have no tie to SNL or New York. I understand not going super streetwear like Kith but why not a New York brand like Alex Mill? Curious how this deal came to be.
Tonya Harding just joined Twitter but she’s already on Instagram and Cameo. At least Cameo can bring in money and Instagram can bring in sponcon – Twitter isn’t a money maker.
Speaking of Cameo, I took a quick look to see who is still on there and there’s plenty of reality stars and actors and athletes. But the interest in Cameo has tumbled – last summer they were in serious financial trouble. I think the issue that the valuation was wildly overinflated (very common for hyped companies) but also that the company didn’t evolve.
I think the next logical step, particularly as it was a Covid-era popularity explosion, is to be a booker for in-person appearances.
This is my most anticipated show of 2025, not even kidding. I have a good feeling about it. Meg Salter and Will Sharpe, this is important.
