Taylor Swift posted an effusive Deadpool promo for tomorrow and now the Swifties have their marching orders. Did Sarah account for that in her box office prediction? 

As always, I am amazed at how everyone treats Deadpool like a fragile indie movie that was in development for decades until a team of passionate artists dusted off the script and self-funded it. This is a superhero sequel. Like why is everyone so in knots trying to tell us how important and difficult this is?

Mindy Cohn is making the headlines because in an interview, she said that The Facts of Life reboot was killed by a “greedy bitch” – not her initial wording, she confirmed what one of the hosts said. I see her frustration but also, the women on this show experienced puberty on TV and I can guarantee they were not compensated enough at the time. If they want to squeeze the most money out of a streamer for the nostalgia factor, it is earned. 

But back to Mindy: she is godmother to two of the six Jolie kids. One of my favourite celebrity surprises! And she’s also been overlapping with the Bravo fandom because she’s really close friend with Dolores Catania. So Angelina and the Real Housewives are only separated by one degree now.

There’s a very unconfirmed rumour that Beyoncé and Taylor Swift will co-host a fundraiser for VP Kamala Harris and while I can see why some would believe it, there is no credible sourcing. And if it was in the works, both of their teams are way too tight to have this kind of leak. This is what I call Celebrity Wishful Thinking. It’s when fans look for secret clues and confirmation that their hero has their same belief system. I think it’s kind of infantilizing to the celebrity, to pretend they are “scared” to speak out on their own time. If they wanted to they would  - this applies to endorsing a candidate, current events, and supporting causes. If they wanted to they would. (That said, I do think a Beyonce endorsement is coming in her time. For now, here is Ms. Tina.) 

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen “hard launched” on Instagram (as the kid say). He posted a mix of photos of her in his album, she posted three photos of herself in Paris that he obviously took and didn’t tag him. So far I’m enjoying this.
