Kelly Bensimon is the headline in this sleepy mid-week of gossip for calling off her upcoming wedding (it was supposed to happen June 29th). She has been married before to Gilles Bensimon and from what I remember of her time on Real Housewives, they were pretty amicable about the split (and raising children together). Kelly’s now-ex is in wealth management so it seems odd to me that he wouldn’t want a prenup as well. It seems like a smart choice for her – a cancellation is cheaper than a messy divorce.

Katy Perry wore a dress with the lyrics to her new song printed on the train. Obviously she is invested in her pop comeback and it is going to be a battle. But this is not a battle against the other pop girlies – with streaming, our options are endless and there’s no barriers to supporting multiple artists. The battle here is the tick tock of the clock. From Madonna to Justin Timberlake (putting aside his recent mistakes), it is very hard to age in this genre of music.

After a request for a pair of sunglasses, I’ve dipped into Love Island US and ummmmm I’m hooked. Like WTF this show is completely insane. I have so many questions about production, like are they allowed to hang out inside the house? Is there a roof over the outdoor area we don’t see? Why do they ONLY eat breakfast? Do they drink alcohol? How is it filmed/edited so quickly?

I need an insider or at least an expert to guide me. (Lainey: this is the only western reality dating show I watch specifically because of the pace and this season is so messy, I love it.)

For some reason Seth Rogan popped in my head and he hasn’t done a big project in a minute. He’s still keeping himself occupied. And there’s another Sausage Party coming.
