The With Love, Meghan PR push continues: last week, it was about a renewal (for episodes that have already been filmed) and multiple PEOPLE Magazine stories that tie in with her cover story. We hear from the crew and there’s absolutely nothing new here. 

 

She has been dutiful about her press, appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show and posting for International Women’s Day. We are also getting the headlines about “rare” photos– rare appearance of the children, rare appearance of Meghan and Harry. In lifestyle, personal appearances can’t be rare. This type of constant drip of “candid” content is required but the trick is to keep the value of personal info high. It’s a difficult balancing act to sustain.

 

Can I be messy for one quick second? OK I don’t know if either of them are in relationships and if so, do NOT yell at me. But have we considered Michael B. Jordan and Anna Sawai. He likes sooooo many of her photos. I can see why! (Lainey: MBJ is also very culturally appreciative of Japan.) 

 

I didn’t know about the Lena Dunham book club, but I am intrigued. I’m in favour of any and all book clubs, especially as libraries are increasingly under attack. More book clubs means more promo for books and more conversation about books. 

 

Also, good writers are typically good readers. And she is a great writer, let’s not get it twisted. I’m rewatching Girls and thoroughly enjoying it. 

Taylor Dearden from The Pitt is Bryan Cranston’s daughter?! I love nepo babies!!!! 

 

Another cooking-from-the-garden show has dropped with Pamela Anderson at her Vancouver Island home. Pam is a long-time vegan and has moved back to her childhood area; she also starred in an HGTV series about the restoration of her grandmother’s property. She has been in an upswing for the last couple of years and one constant has been how hyped her sons are for her. If you read her comments or watch any of their interviews, it’s clear she is a very present and hands-on parent and the boys just adore her. It’s very cute.

 

Mindy Kaling didn’t write a part specifically for Chet Hanks, but it certainly feels like Chet Hanks was born for this part. But when did he switch from Haze to Hanks? Or does he use Haze for his rap career?
